TruMont RN Resident Capstone Project Innovates C-Sections

The Capstone Project of the TruMont RN Residency Apprenticeship is an opportunity for RNs to make a true impact and nurse Megan Burrell is the one in action.

With her Capstone Project, Burrell improved the mother’s experience when having a C-section by being able to visualize the first moments of her child’s birth. Her innovation allows for a more intimate birthing experience with the potential to help postpartum depression.

Through Megan Burrell’s Capstone Project, she saw a need on her unit and was empowered with the tools and resources to take action. Such projects combine clinical expertise with the fresh perspective of RNs to transform the future of nursing.
