Sharron Schlosser, PhD, RN
Director of Continuing Education
Sharron Schlosser is a nursing instructor and continuing education leader with decades worth of experience in maternal-infant nursing, teaching, and research on clinical practice and education. She received a diploma in nursing from the Birmingham Baptist Hospital School of Nursing before pursuing her BSN at the University of Alabama. Sharron went on to obtain her Master’s of Science in Nursing and PhD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also completed post-doctoral work at Wayne State University and Emory University.
Committed to improving the quality of patient care, Sharron has been published in numerous journals including the Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing, Nurse Educator, Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing, and Nursing Education Perspectives. Additionally, Sharron has received multiple awards for nursing practice and education including notably the Living Legacy Award from the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing at Samford University as well as the Service Award for her 40 years of service at Samford University.
With a passion for developing the next generation of nurses, Sharron utilizes her nursing background to support and manage the continuing education efforts of TruMont as the Director of Continuing Education.
